This blog is for anyone who is tired of seeing cliché weddings. Frankly, if I never see another mason jar, vintage mustache and whatcha-ma-call-its in a field, I'll be fine. My hope is that this blog helps you to feel ok as a bride, even if you didn't put an oven in the field or get married in a vintage-circus-themed-rustic meadow. The wedding industry can take itself way too seriously, and it's time we all had a good laugh.

Alice in a forest wedding
Dear Readers,
This photo has been removed by request of the photographer.
What in Sam Hill does Alice in Wonderland have to do with a wedding?
Maybe these models are really only 5 years old and their parents made them get married in the middle of their tea party.
Sigh. This photo makes me sad that girls out there actually look at this crap and think they should aspire to "design" their wedding like this. Or that someone blogged that they were so "dreamy." Blech. Where are the sane people?

Yeah, ok. But what does this have to do with a wedding? You know- when two people commit their love to one another in a meaningful ceremony and then have a party with family and friends. I think it is brilliant as a creepy photo but wedding, no thanks.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would not call this creative. This theme is overly done.

ReplyDeleteI am surprised that you are not able to take a joke about the industry that obviously takes itself too seriously. While it is a disappointment that you are not able to understand the satire of this blog, your photo will be removed because you have asked for it to be removed.
